The big moment has come, the ReMorphOPV research project is up and running! From this day on, over a period of two years, we will investigate elementary processes in organic solar cells. The aim of the project is to better understand how the complex nanoscale morphology and non-equilibrium transport phenomena affect the macroscopic device performance. Our main tool will be kinetic Monte Carlo simulations, which allow for both making realistic assumptions of the morphology and taking into account the hopping nature of charge transport. The numerical simulations will help us to understand experimental data from a range of different blend materials and to derive design rules for better performing organic photovoltaics.

On this website we will keep you informed about the progress of the project, scientific publications and outreach activities. Stay tuned!
